On Monday, April 1st, 2024, the CHL-Food Systems Guam team held their first Local Advisory Committee meeting of 2024 marking the 3rd meeting for the group. LAC members were comprised of long-standing community partners working in and around child health from the private, non-profit, and government sectors throughout Guam. LAC members participated in an asset mapping activity prior to and during the meeting. Each member actively engaged in discussions and shared community highlights in child health that were added to the jurisdictional CLD. The CHL-FS Guam team provided updates from on the year’s milestones and disseminated the latest findings from research topics in the jurisdiction and across all jurisdictions. From these activities, members found potential opportunities to collaborate on a few of the actions and ideas identified. To close the meeting, LAC members reflected on the earlier discussions and community needs from their respective organizations and advised the CHL-FS Guam team on focal points for the next year.
