The USDA has announced a $4.5 million investment to establish three new Nutrition Hubs at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa, Texas A&M AgriLife Research, and Utah State University. These hubs will use culturally tailored, data-driven strategies to improve food security and reduce diet-related health disparities in underserved communities. CHL Hawaii Lead, Dr. Jean Butel, serves as the Principal Investigator for the Pacific Nutrition Hub, expanding CHL’s work and collaborations in the Pacific region.
Part of the ASCEND for Better Health initiative, the hubs focus on precision nutrition to address diverse dietary needs and promote healthier outcomes.
