The University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa hosted its annual Research Day at the Hawaiʻi State Capitol on February 4, 2025. Christina Young, CHL FS Hawaiʻi trainee, and Jordan Oshiro, CHL Coordinator, represented CHL at the event. Christina shared an overview of her dissertation research, Hānai Waiū O Nā Kānaka ʻŌiwi (Breastfeeding of Native Hawaiians), and Jordan shared about the ongoing research on Hawaiʻi’s food systems. Research Day at the Hawai’i State Capitol was a great opportunity to connect with policymakers, their staff, and members of the community who are contributing towards research across Hawaiʻi.
