The 11th Annual CHL Center of Excellence and CHL Network Multistate Meeting was held on July 8 – July 12, 2024. The meeting was held in-person at the University of Hawaii at Mānoa. Attendees included researchers, professionals, and students from the University of Hawaii, UH Cancer Center, University of Guam, American Samoa Community College, University of Alaska in Fairbanks, Northern Marianas College, Case Western University, University of Tennessee, West Virginia University, and University of Arizona.
The meeting focused on CHL Food Systems Resiliency milestones and timeline for the next year. Highlights of the meeting included updates on a systems dynamic approach, student presentations, top source foods in the CHL intervention trial, sharing cultural identity, and promoting collaboration throughout the Pacific region. Meeting attendees also attended an excursion to Ka Papa Lo‘i o Kānewai, the lo’i patch located at the School of Hawaiian Knowledge on Mānoa campus.
