Research Request

Thank you for your interest in CHL Data!

Please go through the steps below to successfully submit a research request.

Step 1

Review the Research Request Process

We recommend reviewing the Research Request Process and the Approved Research Topics page to avoid duplicate efforts.

Step 2

Prior to submitting your request for CHL data, please review the Data Use Protocol and Guidelines and other resources available on the sidebar on the right of this page. All data requests (data files, abstracts, manuscripts, or other media proposals) must be accompanied by a completed codebook, abstract/proposal, and valid CITI training certificates for review by the CHL Program Steering Committee. Please give us as advanced notice as possible if you are working with a deadline.

Step 3

Complete Your Research Request Application

You will need a Google account to complete the application. If you do not have a Google account, please submit a Data Inquiry and we will assist you.

Please note that data requests must be made by first author/lead investigator. We do not accept co-authors or students/employees to submit requests on behalf of the first author/lead investigator.

Before submitting your request, please ensure you are using the latest version of our codebook. This helps us process your request more efficiently and accurately. View the current CHL codebook here.
